Guess what I found out – we have a lot of stuff. There’s stuff everywhere. And we have far from enough cardboard boxes for all the stuff. And we’re tossing away stuff. And packing down stuff. And sorting stuff for future boxes so we don’t mix stuff.
I hate stuff.
Don’t get me wrong – I have a lot of stuff that I like, that I use, and that comes with some emotional value. It’s just too much stuff right now. And I’m being very critical of what we’re bringing from the old flat to the new. We have grown and evolved as human beings since we moved here, so a lot of the stuff we have hidden around in shelves, cupboards, drawers, shady corners and so on, is, well, outgrown. Interests have changed. Intellect has grown. And style has changed. But you can’t expect anything else from the age of 21 to 26.
So now we’re sorting, tossing, packing, cleaning, boxing, dusting and/or evaluating all our stuff. It will take time, that’s for sure.
